Many expense processes are archaic and not fit for purpose, with only small numbers updating their policies since the pandemic and the increase in hybrid working. The expense problem is broadly overlooked despite the world changing around the public sector. It seems that not enough people are investigating these cultural shifts as a potential source of fraud.
